hey, i’m carlos. this is where i talk about traveling, philosophy (and other too-long-blog-post worthy things), and baking. this will be a healthy medium for my creative ramblings and obsessive thoughts.

coffee (i know, i know, everyone in my age group does. but i really do like coffee. good coffee. this is a no frappuccino zone. i don’t make the rules.)
baking. literally everything about it. i can listen to rose levy beranbaum lecture people for hours about different types of flours’ protein content and they’re effect on the end result. i felt joanne chang’s 48 minute presentation on sugar was too short and left me hungry for more. baking represents the perfect synergy of heart and mind. science and art. and the people that get that are the ones i read the most.
other than that. i live in southern california, work in recruiting, and dabble on the piano.
